Backyard Birding with Native Plants Workshop with Steve Gerischer @ Theodore Payne Foundation

This free class — held outdoors under the pergola and in our demonstration gardens — discusses how to attract and support birds in your own backyard, including which native plants provide food, shelter, and nesting sites and materials. You’ll learn about some beautiful California plants and see some local birds! Bring your hat, water bottle, and binoculars! All ages welcome. This workshop is free, but RSVPs are appreciated.

Steve Gerischer is a landscape designer (Larkspur Landscape Design), president of the Southern California Horticultural Society, a plant nerd, and a lifelong gardener and birder. He’ll be bringing his spotting scope for close-up viewing of birds at TPF!
